This page contains all of the class rules, classroom procedures such as Notebook Guidelines, materials and texts needed, etc.

Text Box: Students will learn and record in their notebooks one allusion and one literary term each day as a Bell Ringer Activity.  This page will list the allusions and terms for each week. Students will need to copy the allusion and term from my files before or after class and do the activity that accompanies each set in their notebooks.

During the first few weeks of school, Pre-AP students will learn how to closely analyze and annotate several texts including the short stories “The Scarlet Ibis” and “The Cask of Amontillado.”  This page contains those assignments.

The summer reading assignment for English I was Harper Lee’s classic To Kill a Mockingbird.  Students will be required to compose written short answer essays on the novel, complete an in-class essay, and create a project on the novel.  Instructions on this page . . .
